On January 19, two teenaged males showed up at my
door selling magazine subscriptions. They told me their names and stated they were working towards a CanCun vacation.
Their sign up material looked legitimate as it appeared
to have contact names, phone numbers and addresses, and
after some talking about what magazines I don't want
to renew with, I selected PCMagazine and a two years
renewals price of $55.
The personal check was made out to LSS of Aubrey Tx.
And I have the receipts and copies of the cancelled checks.
Phone calls to LSS at 940-365-0089 go un-answered and
you are asked to leave a phone number and brief message
even though you call during business hours.
This LSS in my opinion is operating a scam and I have advised the TX state Atty. General's office of thier services and received a reply that they will check and see if any state laws were vioated but they cannot act on the part of any singular person.
You should NOT do business with anyone who has:
1) A 3 day refudn limit on thier product/service
2) Call the business first before you buy at your door.
3) Do not accept any services from your door step, deal
with only "brick and mortar" businesses.
4) do not use a credit card
