I was hired by Mike Kawa, the president of TeleQuest Corporation, as an Account Executive. I began working on SEPT 7, of 2007. My duties were to acquire new accounts for TeleQuest and oversee and maintain existing accounts within a specific department. My job was to solicit to independent heath insurance agents who would be interested in purchasing "prequalified leads" at a set amount based on contract and upon acceptance I was to be compensated with bonuses/and or commissions as per contract.
During the first pay period I worked for Mr. Kawa, I was shorted 12 hours from regular pay and the wage amount was at $2 less per hour than on my contract. I spoke with his admin. Asst, Christina Rodriguez about this and she addressed it to Mr. Kawa and he informed her that it would be "taken care of on my next few paychecks" and that it was just an over sight (overlooked). It was never amended.
While employed by telequest corp. I brought in 9 new smaller accts. And 1 large acct., to be compensated through commissions at 6.25% on each new $300 account and $250.00 on a $1500.00 (large) account. On my 3rd day there, acct. Admin Christina Rodriguez received a payment for the first account I secured for them, and I was not compensated for that either and I have numerous incidents that I am filing with workforce.
All the while trying to figure out just exactly what my duties were in such disorganized chaos with an unattended child running about the office, worrying about where the child Taylor was, she was such a very friendly baby with EVERYONE, so open to anyones attention that it was very disturbing to see her with people that she didn't even know. I don't know of any predators in the Madison Bldng, but how would you know?
Mike Kawa the guardian and babysitter Christina Rodriguez didn't know where she was at, running the halls, going to the bathroom and break room by herself and always talking to strangers. She was fed junk for breakfast; ei; candy icecream cookies, and I found myself bringing decent snacks for her. I asked Candy Kovar what is up with the child and she e-mailed me that "Mike Kawa is her guardian because her mother and former employee of Mike Kawa was "away" and Taylor shared that information about her mother to everyone, even strangers.
I am by this time getting a bigger picture of the "person"/s that I am working for and talked with Chris Dunn, who was supervisor over all projects that was outside of Mr. Kawa's office, and he informed me to ask for all that was owed to me now. At that time I was under the impression that "we" were to become a franchise and all of "us" on the ground floor were going to be doing great in this company as a team.
What a misrepresentation of a company! With Mr. Kawa, when I presented him with any request for payment, I was always met with excuses such as" You have to wait for the acct. To be renewed before you will receive payment on that". I then showed him what the contract stated (SEE ATTACHED), and he became very volatile toward me which surprised me as he was supposed to be a professional, the president of a corporation, and the gaurdian of a minor child, who was present in the offices during business hours.
After this violent display, I decided I should go back and examine my paychecks to see if they were correct and I found that every paycheck that I had received had been tampered with to my knowledge which means my time-clock must have been changed, and my actual clocked hours were deleted as I knew them to be. I would like to know what steps I need to take to review all of Mr. Kawa's records. I immediately brought that to Mr. Kawa's attention and the very next day I was fired without pay.
I pursued Mr. Kawa for weeks thereafter in an attempt to collect my paycheck. He avoided my calls and conveniently didn't come in to the office during that period of time. I eventually contacted his admin, Christina, who had assured me that he had her make changes to my paycheck to add the hours he had robbed me of and to add the commissions from all my accounts. She informed me personally that she made the corrections and he had written the check and she had seen it with her own eyes.
I then contacted Mr. Kawa by phone and he told me that he put my check in the mail. When I confronted him about that lie, he admitted to me that he never put my check in the mail and that I could pick it up the next day at the receptionists desk which I did.
When I opened the check, not only did it NOT have the hours he stole from me, but he deleted even more hours from me and NONE of the commission money was on my check either! I then sent him an email stating that he still owed me the rest of the money I had earned and that if he didn't have the check waiting for me by the close of business the following Friday that I would file a report against him which I have done.
He sent a reply to my email which stated that I had breached our agreement and that his legal representative would be contacting me shortly. Of course I was in no way in breech of our agreement, I had held up my commitment and was never contacted by any sort of legal representation! I found out shortly after my termination that I was replaced by an employee who was hired to work for my department and who earned considerably less money than I did. Mr. Kawa is a thief and a liar. I have not once seen him follow through with anything he has ever proposed including the products and services of his corporation
