Yes, it's true. Mike Kawa is an Avoidance Master. Refusing to answer calls. He has a floor secretary, not even his own, to screen all calls. He returns only the newest who have no idea who he is. He wants only your money and your time. He will not fulfill his obligations. He is an elbow rubber at every event he can find, yet, will not even go into his office, as he can't even look at the staff in the eye. He doesn't pay us.
He didn't pay me. I booked appts daily for him. 18-20 a day, sometimes double that. Unlike the others, I made copies of all my work. They didn't understand why...
I was due an hourly, but was told my pay would be mostly in bonuses and commissions, as each appt. Set that sold would have a commission. As I was told by the others there, Michelle was not verifying correctly, and offering most happily set appts. An out, so she could be done by 4:00 P.M. Central. She was not willing to work any later. Period.
I do know Mike Kawa called me daily, for 2 months to get me to come in. I didn't know him, and couldn't figure out why. I looked at his website, and had very little interest. Something seemed wrong for him to be pursuing me so intently, when he didn't even know me. He got my name from Texas Workforce. I was working steadly part time when he called. But, I did go in. He also offered me 90K a year. He told me I would be making that at least in the first year. He made me sign all types of forms.
I couldn't even get my checks weekly.
Nobody ever got a commission check in all of July or August. I worked with Amber, Mike, and Mark. We all have families to support. He doesn't. He's happy to take from you anything he can. He took from me my time, which is very valuable to me, and did not pay me. He owes me more than I can count.
He used old leads, that were being called all day, everyday, by all of us at the same time. To set his appts., these unfortunate people were being called sometimes 8-10 times an hour. Even after telling me he had thousands of leads that were untouched, he refused to give them out. The regulars just stopped answering their phones altogether.
I left, as he could not fulfill his end of the deal. I was working through lunch, staying after the others, getting absolutely no answers on the phones, and he was just avoiding all of us. He begged me to work from home. I was not interested. He offered me a check, told me to meet him the next day, so I said okay. I called the next day, he decided I was "fired" and he did not have to pay me. He told me to not call him again.
Maybe his being Bi-Polar has something to do with how he handles people.
His "Grande Schemes", his lies, his inability to do anything he agrees to, his pint sized beady eyed balding head... The whole package is a joke. We just all become the butt of it.
He takes good hearted people down his nasty, rough, greedy road.
He says he couldn't do it without Michelle. She's been with him forever. There's more here than meets the eye. Surely she has something to do with his business practices, especially since she is the only one he let us contact. Christina, the "office manager", only showed up twice, for babysitting. (us).. And never in anything remotely resembling office attire. Which was required of all employees according to Michelle and Mike Kawa.
