Faulty claim of attempted delivery, then failure to hold package for self pickup

I received two packages from UPS, and was supposed to receive another on that same day. The package never came, and when I check the tracking number they reported that they attempted delivery of this package but there was no one to sign for it. This is not true, as not only was I home all day but I took the previous two packages from the UPS driver's hands, besides the fact that the package did not need to be signed for.

I filed a complaint and requested that the package be held for me to pick it up the next day. They claimed they filed the complaint and the request. After digging my car our of tons of snow and driving over to the UPS customer center, I found that they had not held my package for me. Now I am waiting for the package to be delivered by standard means again, which it very well might not be due to severe weather conditions.

When I reported all of this the customer service I received was extremely poor, basically telling me I would most likely have to pick up the package on Monday.

So all in all I lost 4 days of waiting and 2 round trips worth of gasoline, as well as the two hours I had to drive back and forth from the UPS station and however long it will take me to get there from work during rush hour on monday.
