August sale told to add to card

I went to August sale. I'd been a client for many years and the products are still great. I was told that I should add to my silver card becuase while they would not be issuing new cards in January 08 my card would continue to be honored and the saving applied.

It may not be much money to others but it's a very significant dollar amount for me.
