We scheduled A Solid Gold Sound to do the video of my daughters wedding along with D.J. Services. These were paid for well in advance for their services. We wanted an unedited version of the wedding due to the fact how would they know that a 2 yr old neice of the bride stopping in the middle of the aisle and dropping all the rose petals in one spot wasn't important to them and but very important to the bride. After months of waiting on the video we find out they have edited the DVD. According to John at A solid Gold we could call a phone number given and tell them to send edited, unedited, and archive it. Well 3 phone messages later and no return calls and no DVD we called again. Finally in Jan. 2008 the DVD's arrive. To my dissapointment the ceremony was done from the back of the room and never once did you see the bride and grooms face until the wedding was over and they turned around. My 2 yr old grandson who also had vows could not be seen nor heard due to a small child talking and crying and the videographer not moving. So that will never be seen or heard again. The reception was a disaster. I pointed out the brides family and the grooms.
The mother of the groom was the main person in this video not the bride, groom or their son. There was a few pictures of the brides family which I might add who paid for this. How about no video of the father/daughter dance... Nope nowhere to be seen and also a very important person in the brides life which she announced that her grandpa who's birthday was the next day said ok to the wedding being on that date and they danced to a wonderful song and it was no where to be seen either and never will be again see the tears in my dads eyes as his only granddaughter made him feel so important in her life which I will add is; was married to a wonderful person and the three of them would be happy. A very sad moment when she say that neither dance was their. Also the first time in years all her brothers and step sister had been in the same room was never any where in that video and she was old to get them all together. The grooms father and his wife were shown only twicw. How sad for this whole mess.
According to John in the Kansas office she could have a refund and then back stepped saying this was all the family's fault. So he would not refund her money until further looking into it. Whats the problem here. The DVD's do not have this on them, how simple is that.
Another complaint is they never let my daughter know if they would be there. She left several messages for someone to call her to confirm since noone had in the past. No phone calls. According to the lady that did show up they had called her that morning to do the wedding. HOW SAD to put a bride through all this on the most important day of her life and now will not stand behind their word of a refund.
I might add this is my only daughter so I will never have to go through this again but I would advise any bride or any mother helping the bride to get as much as possible in writing over the fax machine if needed. Make them return the calls. Dont let your daughter be their next victim. Use a different company. It's not worth it.
I think the bride and groom should have been the main people in this video but they played such a small part. John did tell me that it was a 2 camera ceremony. NOW my question is how can one person do 2 cameras at one time. Oh, set one on an tripod. Where the same camera was used in the whole ceremony why would I know that simple the same child in the whole thing... Crying and talking...
This company is not a reliable or competant company to do anyone's wedding. These are memories you want for life and they have very little except what they remember or someone tells them. This video isn't worth the money you have to pay companies to preform a service. But they will keep them for just what they want to see in the future but how sad they cant see it all.

I will add the D.J. Was wonderful, and thats all this company had to offer but I think he really liked his job and realized this was a very down to earth reception just have fun with it. To Bad the bride and groom weren't seen having fun. About 1 minute is all they had. The rest was focused on 3 people and they were the extended family that has no contact with the groom or bride.
The end of all this I hope will help some bride not to use this company. I am afraid you will be disappointed as my daughter was and still is. This isn't over until a full refund is given to them.
