An open letter to Charlie Egren CEO Dish Network

Dear Dish Network, and EchoStar Communications.
I regret having to write to you about an unpleasant experience I've had with your company. I prefer to contact a company only in praise of an employee or the company's actions. Unfortunately, my situation is such that it is necessary for me to forward a complaint to you.

I am the voice of your typical customer.
Together we can make or break a company.
Together we are the decisiveness determinant in your ultimate success or failure.

Tonight I had a technical issue (Error 024) and called in hopes of finding a professional and caring resolution in the timeliest manner reasonably possible. After being on hold 25 minutes due to call volume he first rep told me to reset the receiver, and wait 15 minutes and rushed to get me off of the telephone. When I expressed my concern that this may not work as I suspected the Hard Drive might be out on my DVR she simply giggled and told me not to worry as it takes 15 minutes for the error to reset. Her name was Jessica and she would not give me an employee ID for my records when asked for one.

After waiting 20 minutes, and the error still popping up on my screen, I immediately called back due to the same error, and spoke with a customer service rep named Lupe. She had me repeat the steps that the prior rep had me do, and when I brought it to her attention that switching wall outlets would not correct the issue she asked me in a confrontational attitude as to what I had just said, and when I repeated it she disconnected the call purposefully and never called me back thereby eliminating an accidental disconnect. She was reading from a script the entire time and it turns out your 'Highly trained technicians are not so highly trained.

I have thus spent 45 minutes on hold between 3 callbacks and am considering reverting back to cable television and kicking Dish Network out of my home forever.
I look forward to hearing from you. I hope you can respond within 30 days, so that we are able to resolve this problem in a speedy fashion.
