After applying to several different companies on monster I finally heard back from this company called "Vizion Management group Inc." they had reviewed my resume and thought I was a perfect fit for their Marketing Management position which they needed to fill immediately. This I thought was strange right off the bat because I have no prior experience and I have not finished my associates degree as of yet.
(A Marketing Management position? Sounds too good to be true). Before I went to the interview I tried to look up some info on the company and I could not find one single thing about them. Other then JOB SEARCH listings.
So I go to the interview to check it out and when I get there is this fold out table with two lap-tops on it and these two (very unprofessional looking and young,) girls are handing people clip boards and asking for resumes. I noticed that when ever the phone rang they would pick it up and say "hello marketing". You would think they would answer and say "hello CAM advertising how can I help you" so I thought that was weird. The strangest thing was the loud booming music from the other room. It sounded like there was a party going on or something.
Finally a guy name Josh calls me back. When I get to the other side of the door where the loud music was coming from it was a very large empty room with just stereo turned up all the way. There were no other offices or employees that I could see. So we go into his empty office and he proceeds to tell me how this is not a door to door sales pitch and it is not a telemarketing job either. He said "you will not be going door to door and you will not be making phone calls" supposedly the company is contracted from big name corporations to come into their store and survey customers in the store. He continues to go on and on and tells me how they are expanding rapidly because the business is so successful and so they need to fill positions immediately. He failed to answer any of my questions and his response was just a repeat of what he had already said. It's obvious that this guy is a trained salesman. He really tried to avoid any conversation that would expose the true nature of this business.
So I get home and I call one of my friends (who's name I will not mention) to tell her all about this crazy experience and she says "that's crazy this girl I work with went for an interview there and she said the same thing". When she got to the second interview she sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half not knowing what she was supposed to do and finally they took her back and told her she was going out in the field to get a taste of what the company does and that they would then extend an offer based on how she does. She decided to leave because she was not expecting this and was not comfortable with it. She never contacted them again.
I don't know what this company is or what they do but they are full of it. If you get a bad feeling about something there's probably a reason.
