I was waiting for my husband to pick me up at the mall. I realized I forgot my cell phone and went to the pay phone. I didn't have the correct amount of change to make the local call. So I saw on the pay phone that you could make a call using your debit card. I followed the instructions and dialed 0 plus the number. I listened to the automated operator and pressed 2 to make a call using my debit card. The call went through and I left my husband a message telling him where to pick me up at the mall. I was charged 25.49 for that phone call.
I called Legacy Long Distance Customer Service and was told that if I would've listened to more of the automated operators prompts that there would have been a rate quote for that phone call. My problem is they should have stated that up front instead of telling me to press 2 to make a call using my debit card. The costumer service representative was not apologetic and wasn't even helpful. He told me I would need to call back on Friday to get more information. This company is completely ripping people off and getting away with it!
