Not at all what Midwest Wirleless was

Dropped calls galore. Poor service, you can't go to the store and pay your bill without it taking over a half hour. You call 611 and your either on hold that long or (imagine this) the call is dropped. Changed our billing date from 20th of the month to randomly anywhere between the 5th and 10th of the month, that causes a hardship when you budget, oh and without advanced notice.

Here's the #1 burn under my skin: There are 5 phones under contract. We bought my son his phone Sept. 2006 and the merge was whatever date. Paid $200 for his phone. They merge and we get a letter in the mail that his phone is not compatible with Alltel and he can exchange it. He either gets this certain phone or so much off another phone (I don't remember the exact details). The details are mute considering... He must sign a 2 year contract to get a phone that works with Alltel.

Why would anyone sign a contract with someone that can't provide a service that your paying for and increase your rates. Seriously 4 hours in the store and acting like it isn't a big deal to sign another 2 year contract. No help from 611. So we went and bought a refurbished Alltel phone from Wireless Toys. Let me tell you that store is the BOMB! Those people are so helpful, when your switching service providers, go there!!! And seriously while we were browsing the store, there were 3 people switching from Alltel while we were there. It's pretty easy to get an Alltel 2nd hand there.
