I originally signed up for phone service with midwest wireless, however 2 months into the contract midwest wireless sold out to alltel. Alltel automatically raised my bill, droped at the minimum 8 calls per month, and gave me the worst service I have ever had with a cell phone provider.
I called alltel and told them that I want to quit thier service as I had no contract with them anyway, and was told by them that my contract was sold to them when they bought midwest wireless and that I would have to pay $200.00 more for cancelling the contract.
I argued the fact with them and finally hung and went and got a decent phone provider one that I had used in the past.
Today I got a bill from alltel in the amount of $259.25 I immediately called alltel and talked with a supervisor who told me that I would have to pay the bill, that my contract with them was infact valid and there was nothing I could do about it.
I told him to turn it over to collections as I would not pay the bill. My original contract was with midwest wireless for $39.00 a month not $53.00 a month and I refuse to pay for the worst service I have ever had.
So please watch out! If you plan on doing business with this company' your bill will creep up a little at a time' but it will go up! Your service will get worse and worse. And if you complain' they will gladly accept your $200.00 for a disconnect also.
