Went to Mapco on South Church St.in Murfreesboro, Tn and left never to return. I purchased a $42 dollar money order from the store manager. I gave her $43 and still had two five dollar bills in my pocket.
After the transaction I forgot that I needed to buy a stamp and asked the store manager if I could have five ones. She said she did not have ANY. It was said with such insincerity like practical ignoring me the whole time. She is always that cold though. I live in neighborhood near there and she is never cordial, ever. I could have remember that I needed a stamp and paid using the fives in the first place.
I was like calm, but wait a minute I just gave her two twenty's and three one's. She's acting like all sales are final. The never-looking at me part was what got me. After all, the next guy only had a twenty and she pulled change no problem. So, I looked for something cheap just to buy so I could break my five. $. 39 chocolate. I spent my $43 dollars and it was like Ha? Ha! See ya next time. Bs. There will not be a next.
I spend over $19,000 per year alone at Mapco's and so do many of my partner's. So, Mapco take your $. 039 Chocolate and shove it.
P.S. This was at 12:00 noon in broad daylight.
