I went to Banard Haldane because I thought they were an executive employment agency. The guy was real smooth and slick. He told me that he wasn't working for the money. He didn't need the money becuase he was some marketing genius that worked with credit card companies. He was more financially stable then he could ever imagine. Not the best thing to tell someone who is looking for work!
He asked a number of personal questions that I didn't want to answer and questioned him on them. He never answered the questions directly, but started talking about the company philosophy, blah, blah, blah. I answered the questions - but lied for most of them.
He made me feel as though I could never get a job without them. Made my qualifications feel useless - I needed them. I asked about the fee and he couldn;t even give me an average. He wanted my husband to come for the next interview and I absolutely refused stating that we keep our business and private life seperate. The "VP" of client services did not like that.
He told me that I was attractive and that I was all dolled up with nowhere to go. What a jerk! However, I bought all his crap. I made an appointment for the next interview - 2 days later. However the very next day I was offered to job interview with 2 very big companies in Las Vegas. And after reading this website I flaked on the 2nd interview.
You can do it on your own!!! You should never pay $5,000 for employment help!!! Believe in your abilities and trust yourslef.
