Regis Corporation Salons, Holiday Hair Salon, turned my hair geen, tried to fix it but it is now permanently damaged and can't be changed

On 20 December I went to my local Holiday Hair salon (owned and operated by the Regis Corporation) to have my light-brown hair colored back to my natural medium/dark blonde color. I had decided that I no longer wanted to color my hair, especially since I would be getting married in a year and I wanted my natural color for the wedding.

The stylist first stripped my hair of its color, which was necessary since it was being lightened. She then put a filler in before she could add color. Unbeknownst to me at the time, she put an ash tone filler in my hair. This resulted in my hair turning green. I was horrified, but she said once she put the regular color on, the green would go away.

After applying the regular color, my hair was still green. She realized that she had made a mistake by using an ash tone filler since my hair had been stripped of its red and orange pigment. Even the other stylist told her that she should have known better.in an attempt to get rid of the green in my hair, she applied additional gold color twice. This did nothing, and I was starting to panic. At a final attempt to get rid of the green, she put a red dye on my hair. After rinsing it out, the green was gone, but my hair was now a medium/dark red. She said that there was nothing else she could do and it would have to stay that way.

I have included pictures at the end of this letter a picture of my natural hair color that I had shown the stylist and a picture of my hair after the stylist colored it. As you can see, the colors are nowhere near being similar.

I am very, very upset by this stylist's lack of competence and that my hair is now red. If I would have wanted my hair red, I could have colored my own hair. I went to the salon specifically to have my hair lightened back to its normal color without having to worry about mistakes and it getting messed up. I am unable to have it redone because the stylist said my hair will not be able to handle it and it could turn green again. I am now back at square one, with a hair color that I do not like and that is far from my natural color. I do not know if I will be able to have my natural hair color for my wedding.

In addition, when the stylist rung me up, she insisted I purchase hair care products that I did not want. She said they were necessary because my hair was damaged and any other products might make my hair absorb green tones.

Because of the stylist's initial mistake of turning my hair green and then her attempts to fix it, my appointment that should have been only two to three hours long ended up lasting six hours long. I had to call someone to cover my shift for me at work, and I lost that days pay.

Needless to say, I am not only disappointed by this experience, but very, very upset because all I wanted was for my hair to be my natural color again and now it is red and cannot be changed.

I do not feel that I should have to pay $200 for someone elses mistake that was not and cannot be corrected. My hair was not colored to its natural medium/dark blonde state (it is now medium/dark red), is permanently damaged and discolored, and I lost a day's pay due to having to miss work for the appointment lasting twice as long as it was supposed to.
