I purchased 3 x 6 packs of flourescent bulbs, with a stated life of 8,000 hours each, on June 3. It is now December 31 and I have had to replace 3 burned out bulbs. The package states "Lasts Up to 7 YEARS". These have not lasted 7 months. Even if the bulb burned 24 hours a day every day, they should last 333 days (8,000 / 24). They claim that 1 bulb is equivalent to 8 regular incandescent bulbs. This is definitely false and Lowe's does not stand behind the product. I was told to call the manufacturer. I called and got a recording and was told to leave a message. I do not know at this point whether the manufacturer will replace the burned out bulbs.
