Wow! I was/am a loyal paying customer to Protect America now for 3 years and 1 month. I decided to cancel my service and they said I auto renewed into a year contract. I told the customer service rep that I didn't want to cancel 60 days before my contract was to end. It's not until now that I wanted to discontinue monitoring service.
The phone rep was very quiet, as if she has dealt with this numerous times and knows better than to open her mouth except to say, "ok, we'll wave the fee and cancel you service", which never happened. This is one the most corrupt and un_American scams around that boasts a title of "Protect America".
Even more disconcerning is the very large number of other complaints even if I do send a letter 60 days prior that I can look forward to running into.
Ultimately, I wasn't ending monitoring due to poor service from Protect America (I've never had to use the service), but now, not only is it all about them and the car sales fine print, but I feel I should dedicate much time to doing as much damage to their profits as possible.
I hate this company with all I believe in for how they do people wrong. I would like to see the founder and all who take the Protect America Oath of screwing The People over, pay. There really should be laws against such shady business practices. Merry Christmas to me.
