To Whom It May Concern:
This is an overview of what has transpired for over a year.
A dish network salesman promising a package deal contacted me. I involved my mother Anne who lives next door.
I explained that we had dish prior and gotten rid of because we live in an area that can't receive local channels and their service was bad. The salesman stated that it wasn't a problem anymore that dish has changed many things including their customer service and I was promised I would get my local stations.
I was lied to and the installation was a mess with wires all over the ground and draped over a fence (installation time 6 hours) and not finished. It took me hours to straighten up the mess that was done including replacing wires that were destroyed.
My mother was told, I could not get local channels so she canceled her installation, never had the installer in and no equipment was ever installed.
I complained to dish and they were so generous to cancel my service but insisted on keeping my deposit.
The next thing to find out the installer had written everything up on my mothers invoice. So dish insisted she had the equipment and hounded her to returned it, something she never received.
Many of calls were made and many service specialists were contacted trying to resolve this. Boxes and shipping labels were sent to me, I filled them with all the equipment and sent it back.
We thought we resolved everything and were done with dish but, my mother found out dish had charged her visa account for over $500.00 for equipment she never had.
Many more calls were made trying to resolve this and again she thought we resolved everything, then dish decides to send another bill for 99.00 to a collection agency on her.
Again more calls and a lot of time were spent trying to resolve this. When is this entire situation going to stop? My mother comes into my house very upset and crying she is 70 years old your company has insulted her, upset her, hounded her and made her weary from lack of sleep and hours spent on the phone. The frustration your customer service has done to us is beyond belief. Your company has stole, lied, and harassed two customers that just wanted to watch TV!
I want my money back and a letter of apology sent to my mother.
I want my mothers credit restored, money back and I want never to her from your company again. You're a disgrace.

UPDATE;
dish called and said the money would be refunded, credit restored, and no contact would be made, now I have a bill for the refund amount and nothing has changed with her credit and they still bother us.
