My name is Brian, my grandmother Tillie is on a fixed income. She has basic telephone sevice with MCI. That means no long distance, call waiting and no caller ID. They pay 21.99 a month. For the past 7 months their phone bill is being charged for 5 $6.00 phone directory assistant calls. They do not make. Disconnection and reconnection fees totalling 30.00 and the late charges and all the other taxes that come with this joke of a company. Not one time they have had there phone turned off. I talk to them everyday.
My grandmother has called customer service several times but they have yet to explain these charges accuratly. The company has a Customer Policy that states the customer service will treat you with the upmost respect (the supervisor hung up on me earlier and refused to give her name to me), billing will be accurate, and any problems that the customer has will be resolved. That would be false advertisement right. They are getting stuck with almost a 100.00 bill every month. This is fraud.

They supposivly cut our phone off 4 months in a row for 30 day a piece and we still have had no disturbances. They have still made calls. Is it just me or when they turn the phone off you can not call anyone. There is only one line in the house one phone. One family husband and wife. They have a phone book on their table why do they need directory assistance calls. Why is there 5 every month why not 4,6, 8,2, its 5 every time. This is wrong.
We have told customer service that and they do not care. OH yeah We have contacted the Attorney General about this and they contacted MCI and told them to make us happy after that they got 1 month right and after that they started it again. Please contact me with your story and we could have alot of money from their corporated a*es!!!
