A few months back I had subscribed to directtv after seeing an offer in the newspaper. The offer was for $44.99 after a special promotional discount of $10 a month for twelve months.
I was instructed to send off for the $10 a month rebate after I got my first bill. My first bill came and the rebate offer was included as they said it would be. So I followed the instructions and sent the offer in with first months payment.
After several weeks I recieved a reply stating that I was not eligible for the discount. I called customer service and after being transfered and placed on hold several times the representative stated that I was, in fact eligible for the discount. The operator said he would get the information from me over the phone and he would submit the rebate himself.
Again after a few weeks I received a card in the mail saying that I was not eligible for the discount. The card was stating that I had not submited the rebate in the alloted time period.
I called customer service back and after being left on hold and being transfered around for more than an hour and a half they finally told me that the problem was taken care of and that my dicount would be on my next bill.
I have been through this process several times now and I still haven't recieved
my discount.
