Adventure Aviation in Georgetown, Texas has a great scam running, especially since the local police are so unwilling to pursue the matter crininally. They sign you up for private pilot lessons to the tune of around $6000.00 and then they simply refuse to provide lessons after taking your money. What follows as you try to get them to perform on the contract is a litany of tired old excuses. You'll hear crap like, "airworthy airplanes are on the way and lessons will begin soon!" You'll also hear the excuse that Rob's son is a drug addict and that is why the company is in such dire straights. I think that the truth is that Rob Tissier has simply stumbled onto a GREAT scam. The local police are reluctant to get involved because a contract is involved so they insist the matter is civil. What is interesting is that there are civil judgments filed against Robert Tissier for exactly the same thing, i.E., signing up students for private pilot lessons then refusing to provide those lessons. These judgments are in the tens of thousands of dollars and can be convenienely located at the Williamson County Texas Courthouse.in addition, Robert Tissier has flown aircraft that were involved in the Katrina hurricane and are not deemed airworthy by the FAA. This is a federal crime. Even scarier still, Robert Tissier may well be working as a pilot currently for Continental Airlines flying commuter planes. Robert Tissier has recently disappeared which makes it somewhat easier to get the police involved.
