Decptive Practices ~ Lacking Integrity on all levels

On 10/01/07 I phoned Cindy at 800-638-555 ext. 81177. (at the time I asked to discontinue service I was told this person does not work for dish network~perhaps they are sales people in some third world company?). This person represented herself as a salesperson for dish network. I signed on for the 100 package, no extras. I was told this package included 4 tvs. I confirmed 3x my monthly amount including all taxes. This amount was $38 and some change per month. However, I had to pay $49.99 up front which would be reimbursed on my first statement. First statement would reflect 2mos. Bill. According to Cindy ext. 81177 my first bill after the $49.99 credit would be $29.99/for 2mos.
On 10/5/07 the installer came within the time specified. The first question installer asks me is about the landline. I have not had a landline for over a year. Nor had Cindy inquired whether I had one to accurately quote monthly pricing this should be asked up front. I am now told it will be an add'l $5/month.
I then phone dish network certain I have been lied to in order to again ascertain what my monthly bill is. I am now told after speaking with Sandra, Nadia, Sharif and Cecily-badge # P56 that my monthly bill is over $80. Cecily agrees to reduce my bill to $29.99/mo. This would be after a $10/mo for ten month rebate and not charging the $10/month no landline problem. Yes it went from $5 to $10 due to it is $5/box and one box is required for two tv's.in order to have 4 tv's working ~ 2 boxes required. Although at a later date it should be noted that Chris told me I had enough equipment for 6tv's which makes me question whether one box can run 4tv's? Good luck getting a straight answer on this. I also come to find out I have a special dv? Which records shows which I did not order for $6/mo. And the list goes on.
On 10/13/07 one of the tv's which had worked with the remote at time of installation is no longer working. Another hour on the phone w/technical support to no avail. I am then told to manually sit in the bedroom and hit the blue arrow up key every 3 sec for an hour and a half. More wasted time, no tv.
10/15/07
I call dish network in hopes of having a technician come by as he was able to program the remote in less a minute at install. The answer is no and that dish network does not warranty that their remotes work with all televisions. If it had not originally worked this statement may have made sense. And yet another first I'm hearing this.
On this date I spoke with Terry, rude, Joanne, bad connection, Tom, Sales, Amy, customer service, Dave, technical support, Chris/Manager (supposedly another unproffessional employee), and lastly Sandra badge w59 to disconnect who threatens me with a $240 breaking my 18mos. Contract fee. The same contract which I have next to me showing I declined. On this date 12 days into my contract, Chris rudely told me that my monthly bill remained at $80 / mo. That Cecily could not reverse the landline charges for longer than a month and certainly not 18mos. Onanonanonanon.
Today is 10/14/07 and I am still waiting for the boxes they were to send to return their equipment. The same equipment they want back within 15 days of cancellation. On 10/15/07 I aasked them to shut off my service the next day, which they did.
This company who I understand is part of AT&T should be put out of business until they address their unethical and fraudulent practices.
Yesterday 10/23/07 I had yet another rep. Phone me to try to persuade me to reconsider. They have to be joking? This rep. Goes on to tell me my bill was in fact reduced by Cecily. They will tell you whatever they think you want to hear and then put the screws to you~beware.
In the meantime Comcast re-connected me w/no fee and put me into a package at $39.99. This was printed up front on the installers work ticket. Dish Network should have their installers holding in hand the package and price on the contract they want consumers to sign. Which by the way is blank when they hand you the contract. Beware.
