An elderly friend bought my husband a lap top from this company as a surprise. When we opened and set it up we noticed it was very cheap looking. The thing will not even turn on!!! We called the service number and I actually got a live person who spoke english! At this time I ws not aware of what comapny sold this to our friend. I think it is a common problem because it did not take long for the person on the other end to say we had a defective video card and we need to send it back to be repaired. I have the label to send it back but I am concerend from other reports that this will just start a long complicated matter of them saying they did not receive it etc... I want our frined to get his money back but after reading all these other complaints I am afraid he was taken. How can we get his money back? Is there any class action suits against this company that we can join in on? I do not want to do another thing until I am informed of what to do next by a person who is aware of how to handle this. He lives on Socail security and he said he made payments but I am unsure how much he paid for the lap top. I can get the info though. I am very upset he was taken I have no idea why he bought this for us anyway. I am sure he thought he was getting a good deal. How can we shut this company down?
