Complaint / Review
Entertainment Holdings, INC

I've never dealt with such unprofessional individuals in my entire life! I thought I was signing up to be a movie extra but all I got was my money stolen! And don't even bother calling them to file a complaint because all they'll do is transfer you to everyone in their office before eventually hanging up on you.By the way, this company I'm talking about calls itself "ENTERTAINMENT HOLDINGS" And if you don't believe me, I can show you my bank statements.

The company posted an advertisement on the web for movie extras. I was instructed to call 800-306-1096, which is exactly what I did. I spoke to a gentleman named AGENT JAKE, who told me that I would need to make an initial payment of $39 which would pay for materials that would arrive in the mail shortly.

Weeks had passed and I still had not received anything from such company. When I checked my bank statements, I noticed that I had been charged 5 different times, with amounts totalling $92. When I brought this to their attention, I was told that there was no record of those charges. The representative hung up on me.

I called back and spoke to that same person, who then gave me a fax number so that I could fax over bank statements as proof of these charges. I attempted to fax the documents but for some reason, the call would not go through. I called the company again and was told, "we are busy today so that could be why its not going through." I asked to speak with a manager, who was very rude and refused to listen to my explanation and I was hung up on once again. I called back and was put on hold for approximately 10 minutes and the call was suddenly dropped. I called back one last time... Was put on hold again for another 5 minutes. At this point, I realized that this was a complete joke and stopped calling.

About a week goes by and we go at it again.By this point, I've already faxed my bank statements 4 times but for some reason they STILL have yet to receive my fax, even though I was receiving confirmations that the fax did indeed transmit. Sound sketchy to you? Sure sounds like it to me.in the meantime, I get another bank statement in the mail that Entertainment Holdings had attempted to withdraw some more money from the account. Lucky for me, the account was already closed so that attempt was pointless.

At this point, I realized that I was going to get nowhere with these people so I went ahead and called my lawyer. My lawyer spoke to a supervisor who calls himself "RICHARD" and could be located at extension 230 if I dialed the number 800-787-4098.

No matter what 800 number you are given, you are lead to the same bullshitting representatives. Richard tells my lawyer that the money WILL be sent... He pretty much guaranteed it. Sounds convincing, don't you think? So Richard says "have her call me with the number she originally called us from because I can't seem to pull up her account."

I proceed to call 800-787-4098 and ask for Mr. Richard at extension 230. Here's what I get:

"I'm sorry but there's no one here by that name." I call back again (this time making sure I have the correct name, number, and extension.)

And another thing... Representatives REALLY don't want to transfer you to a higher authority. "I'm sorry Mrs. Garcia but I can't transfer you." "Why not?" I asked.

"Well, because the calls come directly to us and we just can't transfer you."

Are you kidding me???

I demand to speak with Richard, who eventually picks up the call. I give him my number and the so-called "database" finally shows my "account"... Then says to me "Who is your lawyer again?" I give him a name and he says "oh ok. Well Mrs. Garcia, I'm going to check on that fax you sent to confirm that we did receive it and I'll give you a call in TWO HOURS"

Oh and he makes sure to let me know that I will be receiving my money, most definitely. He gives me the whole "guarantee" thing.

TWO HOURS huh??? Hmm... Does it really take that long to check a fax? Especially when you know that your information has already been reported to the Better Business Bureau? I think not!

My lawyer calls him back AGAIN and is told "Richard is on his break."

Needless to say, Richard never calls us back...

And honestly guys, It's not about the $92. It's about how these people conduct business and what they are doing to the public. Lord knows who they are sharing my personal information with and what they could do with it in the future.
