Mr. Crowell hired me to do some odd jobs including house sitting during a wedding. He promised to mail check but never did. When I called he would not answer and would not respond to my emails. I took the issue to the state labor board and was sent a letter telling me that they had determined that "The Butler" did indeed owe me the money. My only recourse is small claims court.
Beware of his listings on Craigslist - he especially likes to prey on students and homemakers.
For potential clients/customers of the Butler please opt to use someone else for the services you are seeking. His methods are deceitful at least. I would be very cautious - he cheats employees but also lies to the customer. He didn't even do a background check on me but then had given me access to the home of a client. - Don't risk it!
John - I sincerely hope that you will make amends by paying me and anyone else you cheated the wages owed but just know, that in the end, there will be justice of that I have no doubt.
