The Butler of Charlotte is still up to its old tricks. I worked for this "company" and its owner, John Crowell, for around 11 months. During that time I saw firsthand how The Butler gets away with not paying its employees.
The Butler serves the elite families and businesses of Charlotte who don't know that when they pay The Butler for parties and concierge services that the people who actually do the work might not get paid! The Butler tries to deceive its employees about late checks and then blames it on the post office. I, and others, have received "rubber checks" as well. What is worse, the North Carolina Department of Labor allows The Butler to get away with it by not enforcing their own laws and regulations.
The Butler owes me a considerable amount of money and admits it, and for two years he still won't answer the phone when I call or return emails. Even if The Butler sees this Ripp Off Report, he will probably threaten to sue me. These are true facts. So, I urge you, if you are looking for work or looking for a concierge or party planner, to please be careful.
