I was approached by a company, A&A Processing, out of Davison Michigain Sept.. I was only told about how they could lower my processing fees and that they had a 4 year contract. No big deal, I was coming to the end of a 2 year contract with another processor.
Robert Derthick was smooth and a fast talker. He told me that I also needed a newer more up-dated machine in order to except smart cards. When I inquired what this was he showed me what looked like a credit card with a computer chip on the front of it, and I was told that credit cards where all going to go to this instead of the magnetic strip.
This man also told me that this machine he was getting me was $49.00 a month but I would not see the cost because it was included in the processing program. He also told me that all processing companies, starting in Nov., of 2006 was going to charge a $50.00 a month for machine up-dates. So I should just go with him.
Mr. Derthick also stood in my place of business and told me he was talking with my old visa processing company. I found out later that he never spoke to them and they had no clue who he was.
The day I signed those papers I honestly had no clue that I was signing up to lease a machine, when in fact I already had one. I thought I was signing a contract for processing purposes only! And on top of that I never received any copies.
A month later is when the nightmare started and I noticed $54.00 removed from my account from a Lease Finance Group. I found their number on a letter they had sent me and that's when I found out that I had signed a 4 year lease with this company. And, I was given a used refurbished machine!
I told them that I didn't sign anything that had their name on it and did not agree to pay for any machine. I was told the machine was free and it was from A&A Processing Company. They faxed to me the papers and it has been one thing after another with these people.
I since then have closed my account and in Jan., of 2007 sent back their equipment. To this day they deny ever receiving the equipment, which they received 3 days ofter I sent it, and had to sign for it.
They call my home and my business 7-8 times a day to harrass me and my workers. They are rude, they are liars and they are unprofessional.
I reported them to my local police department and they could do nothing because the company is in another state. I just received legal letters yesterday and they are suing me for over 2,000.00.
I have tried to negotiate with this company and they don't care! How is it that they can get away with shafting so many people? I am a new business owner and I am a very honest person.
I don't know how this company can be so sneaky and desperate for money that they are not honest with perspective clients. They go one step furter and hire dishonest people to scam innocent people out of their hard earned money.
I hope that somebody will step up and do something about this Lease Finance Group. They need to be stopped!
