I am just adding to the already extensive list of individuals that have been or almost got victomized by this door to door pyramid scam!
Believe me when I tell you that an Entry Level Sales and Marketing position does not entail selling school funraising coupon books for $20.00.
The ploy is to sell these "awsome" discount books in order to help the D.A.R.E. Program becuase Florida is no longer going to fund the program. The kicker is that only 50 cents of the $20.00 is going to D.A.R. E and the rest is going to the company. Wow, that is such a contribution to help keep D.A.R. E going. Did I mention that some of the restaurant in the book no longer exist or dont exept these coupons?
I do have to say that they are clever in having you sign an agreement before you are taken out on "field training" in some strangers car without the option of taking your own vehicle out in case you opt out.
The agreement states that any money you make while on this "field training" is their's and you will get a commision out of that. Percentages are not stated.
They dont let you know what you are going to be doing until you are in the car driving out in the hwy and then they hit you with the "practice your sales pitch" and the, "you will get paid commission at the end of the day" followed by, "you will become a leader if you work hard at the entry level position".
I found that hard to believe considering that I was told I was going to be hired as a Manager.
Another thing I noticed during my 3 hour interview day with them was, The leader kept telling me that the mangers don't make less than a six figure income and that they still like coming out to sell door to door... I mean B2B.
Who in their right mind enjoys door to door sales! Nobody! That means that there are not enough positions filled at the moment so they have to do some work to keep from losing money and... To let the leaders think that they need to keep working hard to achieve the coveted management position.
When I asked the leader how many hours he/she was putting in, he/she said anywhere from 60 to 70 hours per week! The leader also said that you don't have to work weekends but, you will want to so you can reach your goals and prove yourself.
I am sure you read some of the other posts about this company, and all of this is in fact TRUE.
The rebuttals you hear on these posts are from the same people who are making a living off of this scam and they will say the same stuff they told us on our "field trip".
They claim they doubled the sales for the Orlando Magic with the B2B sales.
Let me tell you I did some research of my own. I called the Orlando Magic offices and spoke with someone in the ticket sales department. I asked if Competitive Advertising was involved in the sales of tickets for the Magic and the representative said they had tried a company last year by the name of Smart Circle, but they were not using them anymore.
OK... So if you are the sales team of the Orlando Magic and you found an agency that doubled your sales the previous year, WHY would you stop using them?!
Ladies and gentlemen, they were not as effective as they claim to be or they would still be a player in the Magic ticket sales!
I hope this is read by someone who has not yet gone to the second interview and by anyone who has not invested too much time, or by someone who has been there for a while and still has not seen his/her promotion.
