I signed up at one of the LA weight loss centers at the end of 2006. When i signed up, i was told that if i reached a certain point in the program id recieve one refund and then a few months later another refund.
I stuck to the program, paid quite a bit of money for their products and then one day i was told that the center was shutting down. So, I then relocated to another center, further away.
I continued going to this new center 3x per week, then 2x per week (as advised by the staff), stuck to the program, purchased more products and actually reached my first milestone around april or so!
I was told i needed to do 6 weeks of "stabilaztion" and then 52 more weeks of "maintenance". I had just purchased another bulk of products (which i paid for in full but they only let you take 1-2 boxes at a time, not all 25 that you paid for) and was just in the midst of my 6 weeks when I arrived and the new center had closed down too!
There was a note on the door and a phone number to call. I thought i would just have to relocate again. I called immediately and got a voicemail, left a message and waited for a return.
I did not get a call back. I called the 1-800 number from the website and they supposedly sent my information to the "franchise department" but again I did not get a call. I emailed the national center online. I got an email with another phone number to call. I called and left another message. My call was finally returned (she said she tried calling me before this. I check my messages daily and never recieved anything.)
I was told to call another number. I tried leaving messages 2 more times. It has been over a month since i first tried contacting them about my refund and have still talked to noone!
I am a teacher so i dont make a lot of money and i feel like i invested a lot into this program which i did not get a chance to finish! I didnt mind paying at first because i thought it would be a long term committment to weight loss. I deserve a refund for this program (which i am still paying off on my credit card!) and a refund for the bulk of weight loss bars that i never received.
