The CPA for KMS was sent $1195 in the form of 2 money orders for the services of KMS Investigations Inc. KMS did not provide their contractually obligated deliverables. Specifically KMS Inc. Was hired to perform surveillance in Detroit and supply me with digital pictures, a video of their work to establish continuity, as well as a detailed report of there findings.
This work was performed on the days of May 13th, 14th & 15th. The report and other materials were supposed to be delivered to me within 2 weeks of completion of the surveillance. The company was also informed that I had an absolute deadline of June 18th to receive these deliverables in order to be able to use them in a court proceeding.
As of 6/21 I had not received these. I did receive an email from KMS on May 30th with an attached document. This document was labeled as a report, but was incomplete and strife with inconsistencies, including incorrect dates and times as well as information that was directly contradictory to the details that were being provided to me by a KMS representative, Bill Taylor, through email and phone conversations at the time of the surveillance.
He also sent me a couple of pictures that were of an empty hotel lobby conviently blurred just enough to not be able to read the sign giving a date or location. I still have not received the DVD of pictures and video that was supposedly mailed to me in May.
Since May 30th KMS has refused to respond to my phone calls or emails. At this point I question whether or not the company even performed the work. Due to KMS' mishandling of this issue and current refusal to respond to my inquiries, the question arises of whether they are responsible for inferior work, or has KMS Inc. Committed fraud.
I have reported them to the BBB of
California -where they had me send the money.
Delaware -where their latest address showed up,
Michigan -where the work was supposed to have been performed,
Alabama -where the so called report was generated from
and my home state as well.
The Delaware BBB reponded telling me that KMS is unsatisfactory in the Bureau's records They included a report with a total of 11 complaints since Aug. Currently KMS's mail is being returned as "Not deliverable as Addressed - Unable to Forward"
They suggested that I contact the Local Attorney General & the Federal Trade Commission @ 877-382-4357
