We received a phone call from Ronnie Burke saying that our controllor had told her to call our purchasing agent. They claimed they were liquidating their warehouse and we could receive some fantastic prices on office supplies. Our expectation was an invoice for around $400.00. Our inexperienced purchasing agent received an invoice for $5,856.69 and paid the invoice with a credit card.
Then we received another shipment along with a packing list. I tried on several occassions to contact the company using the telephone number on the packing list. I have called at least 7 times with no response. My supervisor also called and received no response.
We are filing a consumer complaint with the State of West Virginia Attorney General, Darrell V. McGraw, Jr.
We will not allow this company to rip us off and we hope to prevent this happening to another institution.
