For three years our organization has been trying to get lapel pins and danglers to present to our volunteers. Here is my story...

My predecessor ordered lapel pins April 14 with our organization official logo. When they were received the pins were given to our volunteers. Then on December 10 our director of communications ordered danglers (which included different hours of service). There was not a problem with the pins, till the danglers were given to our volunteers and they tried to attach them to the pins.

The owner of the business spoke with our director of communications and told her to send the danglers back and that they would be fixed to work with the pins. She mailed all the danglers back to the company on May 15. Therefore we sent the danglers back because we were told to do so and that he would have the problem corrected. They corresponded by email and phone calls over the next few months with no resolution to the problem.

I became involved after the responsibility of volunteer recognition was changed to me. Actually on January 18, I emailed the owner (same guy) about the problem.in reply he emailed me on the same day and stated "I will have them remade for you." I mailed him one of the original pins for him to compare. Then he emailed me January 24 and stated, "I have the pin and will get the reorder placed ASAP."

Since I did not receive a response from him after many attempts of email and phone calls, I called and spoke with another gentleman on March 20. He advised me that the owner had taken leave and that he would check on the problem and call me back. I left numerous messages for him when he did not return my call. Then he requested in April that I send him copies of all my documentation that I had. I sent copies of all documentation that I had to him April 2. After that date, I called and emailed numerous times with no response.

We did not have a problem with either product except for the fact that they would not fit together and we didn't know that until we tried to put them together.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau June 19 and filed a report. The BBB relies on the voluntary cooperation of the business to act responsibly, to make adjustment in the interest of fairness and good customer service. Unfortunately, they were unable to resolve this dispute.

Pin Promotions replied to the BBB stating that all claims must be made within 30 days and no refund would be issued due to the customized product. No time during our contacts with anyone did they tell us this. This was not stated as such in our original paperwork.

They led us on for three years. We feel that this is very poor business. We have pins that are worthless because we can't add to them and Pin Promotions has all our danglers and one pin and our $658.00. We have spent numerous hours trying to resolve this problem. That is why I contacted the Better Business Bureau hoping to resolve this problem. Pin Promotions did not act responsibility or fair.

Now, I just want people to know that Pin Promotions ripped us off!
