E Harmony
Internet scam ripoff

I joined eharmony after seeing their commercial on TV. It's an expensive service and I figured they would match me with compatible professional members—that's what they say they do. You spend all of this time filling out questionaires and stating age and distance preferences. What happened next?

Eharmony began flooding my email inbox with "flexible matches". These "flexible matches" were sometimes 12 years old than my uppermost preference. I asked for relatively close matches, they were sending me people from other countries. I'm a high income professional and clearly stated so, they were matching me with truck drivers and assembly line workers.

After I asked them not to, the volume of these unacceptable "matches" increased. There were men who clearly were not members and not even able to communicate if I wanted to. I tried to cancel my membership after 5 days and they convinced me that I just needed to retake the profile exam because the one I took was a year old.

After I did that, the exact same thing continued to happen. When I tried to cancel again, they said it was too late, that I had to cancel in the first 7 days. I've filed a complaint with the FTC and urge others ripped off by EHarmony to do the same. This is a sophicated scam and their owners should be prosecuted. Who knows how many of us are out there.
