Since Dec. 2005 Minol has been billing our apt. Complex for heat and water. I have been paying under protest due to being overcharged. This company, nor the apartment managment will not give you anything in writing to better understand their method and rates.
I went to New York State Attorney General's office in June about this issue. As per their contact with Minol, they stated their was a computer error, (overcharged rate) and I should see a difference in the next months bill. March bill came and the total charge was $202.01
and adjustment credit of - $176.73, sounds good, now Aprils statement came and low and behold the rates change again for a bill of $156.80.
Once again I contact the Attorney Generals office and he looks into the issue. Two weeks later he calls me with information i already know, example, how 2 people = 1.6, he explains the formula the use as national standards. I told him I understand all that he told me, but asked him why the rates change so much? He had no answer, except that Minol is correct on their formula, and this would have to go to Legislation on the rate issue.
At this point I fell that there is much more involved here that he is dont want to get involved with?
On wed. July 18th. I went to the town of Poughkeepsie water billing department, with all my bills from Minol. The water department told me they dont know where Minol gets there rates at? (however in the one and only email that Minol sent me in feb. 2007 they explain that the city rate changed, however I live in the town.)
