Two employees from this company hazed another employee for a prolonged period with derogatory, defiling and inflamatory Mexican slang before a performance-pressured employee could bring the daily harassment to management attention. The employees were not immediately fired and the harassment continued.
The tactic of giving employees the apparent choice of management action proves to be ineffective. Employees, after both being hazed and under job and financial pressure, are not really in a position to evaluate hiring and firing decision on the spot.
