Tacks on Porno pay-per-view to bill and refuses to take it off Ripoff Bedford County Virginia

My mother-in-law recieved a bill full of pay-per-view movies including 3 "Adult" movies. Her and my husband talked to "customer service" on 2 different phone calls and both times were talked to rudely and told that there was nothing they could do about it, and if the bill wasn't paid they would turn my husband in to collections. My mother-in-law cancelled her service immediately and stopped payment on the bill. She was told that the phone number of where the ppv was ordered from was an old number that my husband had when he lived at there 4 years ago. The number now belongs to another verizon customer. She told the agent that, with no result. When my husband talked with an agent, he was told that my mother-in-law's phone number was actually used.

When my husband moved out of his mother's home, about 4 years ago, his phone service was cancelled and the Dish bill put in my mother-in-law's phone number and name. They refused to change the name on the bill from my husband's name, even after she called them about it again a year ago. So now they want to turn my husband in to a collections agency if it doesn't get paid.
We have no idea how the ppv purchases could have been made because no one else could have purchased them from her home on her account.

After my husband spoke with customer service for about 45 minutes, they agreed to take the Adult movies off of the bill, but nothing else.

The biggest problem is that there is no one to help us. There is no manager, representative, or descent person to speak with concerning this matter. So we feel like they just stuck us with this bogus bill and there is no way out but to pay for something we didn't use.

We want to contact a lawyer to know what our next move should be because we don't want our credit affected, but it would probably cost more than the bill itself.

Is there some way that someone could have used my mother-in-law's dish service from another location? Is there a way to find out where the movies were watched? We could get no straight answer from Dish Network.

In the 8 years or so of being a Dish customer, my mother-in-law never ordered any ppv and says she doesn't know how to order it.

Dish Network has trapped us with no way out.
