A young salesman came to my mother's door asking if she would like to buy a book or magazine. She had said that she had enough magazines, but my eight year old daughter saw the the man was selling books about dogs. The man also said that the book would come bound in leather and have my daughter's name in gold on the cover. I don't usually buy items from door-to-door salespeople, however, my little girl really wanted the book. As a result, I wrote a $51.00 check to the man and got a receipt from him with his name, the company's name, and order information on it. He told us that the book would be sent to us in two weeks. Three weeks later, the check has been cashed and we didn't receive the book. My daughter is heart-broken and I'm angry that I was taken advantage of.
