Let me tell you my experience. I bought a pair of shoes from there last summer. I wore them three times before the sole MELTED OFF! I took them back to the store and I COULD NOT get my money back, or new shoes, but had to let THEM repair them. Well, when my shoes returned the cobbler used some sort of super glue, which burned the material the shoes were made of. When I complained, I was told, "well they are cheap shoes what do you expect".
Fast-forward to this year. I took pity on the company and thought it an isolated incident. I again this year purchased a pair of shoes from BareFeet Shoes. This time, they were black, round-toed pumps (work shoes). They were reasonably priced, $30.00, and they looked sturdy. Fast-forward to nine wearing's later - mind you the weather has been warm - and AGAIN, the soles are melting off. As it is now, I am sitting at my desk embarrassed, because the bottoms of these shoes are coming off again. Luckily, I have flip-flops to wear to my car. I contacted the company via telephone and spoke with the regional manager who said, "we cannot offer you anything, our shoes do not have a lifetime warranty". CAN YOU BELEIVE THAT!!!
I did some research and discovered that BareFeet shoes' policy on no refunds/repair is one that no other shoe store in the area uses. Why is it that a store offers repairs, and not replacement or refund? Could it be that they KNOW their product is inferior? They just DON'T CARE!!! Also, please notice where Bare Feet Shoes stores' are located. Is there one in Tyson's Corner? NO! Is there one in Bethesda? NO! Please note that this store markets to, and sells to minorities. Yet, they treat their customers like garbage, and sell an inferior product.
Please don't say that the shoes were not expensive, so they were not guaranteed to last. That is NOT TRUE! Inexpensive shoes can be found at Target, and Payless and last for YEARS with care. There is a difference between "cheap" and "inexpensive", and BareFeet Shoes' shoes are CHEAP. Please pass along to all your sisters, mothers, aunt, cousins, daughters, and neighbors. Let us stop supporting inferior products being sold in our neighborhoods.
