Voice Activated Phone System Blocks Reaching a Live Representative

I am tired every time you call Verizon, you get this voice activated robot like voice. Where is the live operators? Why do people have to wait so fu*g long, to get through to a live Verizon representative? Then, the robot says "what do you need"? Is this a technical support issue?
I tell you, no wonder Verizon loses its customers. I wish Comcast would buy them out. And I hope it comes true!!!
