I have never had nor will I ever have Dish Network service. I received A notice from a collection company for a past due bill 5 years ago. I then called them and let them know that my son has the same name and it might be his bill.
They went over the account with me including the address and it was my sons address. I told them I wanted the bad credit taken off my credit report. They told me that it would not be removed until the bill was paid and if I wanted it removed that I needed to have my son pay it. So I am being held hostage by this company for someone elses bill.
This was 5 years ago and the battle still goes on today. They know it is not my bill. They also know I have never lived at that address and never had the dish network service!!! They fact is they dont care! I can not believe that a company knowing this can still post bad credit on your file and get away with it.
This is not only bad business but dishonest business and people should think twice before signing up for any dish network service.
