Our company was contacted by phone by ADS to do a mailer. We agreed to the credit criteria we wanted and they sent a list of promises for 24/7 phone center, giveaways, 'all custom filters', appointment setting, all first class, manifest, regional exclustivity. The 10k mailer, by minimum industry standards should produce 1-3%. We were verbally promised it would produce or ADS would do giveaways "giftcards" to entice people to come in.
I personally called their 4 references and they had success with 90-100% satisfaction. I looked up the BBB and no complaints. We agreed to the degree of "data scrubbing and zipcode specifics". We had just mailed out our own BK mailer with good success. We didn't want to send another to people with repos or bankruptcy within the last year.
ALL 'seven' applications over 4 weeks had recent repos or BK'S within the last 12 months except for one. 4 of 7 appl., had below the agreed credit score min. 1 not employeed. Total disregard for our needs and wants but promised they would supply the customers one way or the other.
They never called me after they got our 6900.00. They wouldn't return my calls to check on our satisfaction. They use a UPS store 'mailbox' as their address. They called everyday 2-3 times until I committed to the mailer. Now no one but the operator will speak to us. I have filed with the BBB of the Southwest, Rip Off.com and the Postal Inspectors office.
