I joined Undercoverdetective.com to aid my family history research but it was immediately clear that for the UK they only have a list to other websites, most of which require additiona payement and many I already knew about.
I emailed them for a refund under their 56 day money back guarantee. At first I receied a personal reply in addition to the automated response offering to do a personal search. I explained that that was of no good to me as my needs vary with time. I received a few other emails requesting the date I paid, the receipt number etc. At this stage I started to form the impression that they were not very willing to refund.
Probably a surprise, and a disappointment, I have supplied all the information that they have requested but still no refund and the personal messages have dried up, despite them also saying that all emails will be replied to within 12 hours.
I intend to resend the message each day until I receive my refund.
My advice to anyone inside the UK is not to join at all as they have no useful information on the UK.
