Complaint / Review
Interval Realty Services, Inc
They will take your money but they will not help you sell you timeshare

Interval Realty Services contacted me by phone to help me rent my timeshare on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. I paid them $299 for a 5-year participation in their rental program.

They promised to (1) list the property on the internet, (2) include the listing in print advertisements for local, regional, and national publications, (3) use direct email to reach 50,000 timeshare buyers and renters, (4) use direct marketing to travel agencies and other organizations who help executives who travel to resort destinations.

I asked them how they rented timeshares with such a weak website (www.intervalrealty.net) and they said that most of their deals were a result of conferences that they attended, where they marketed directly to potential agencies needing a rental.

Complaints:
1. After repeated calls and faxes, they never got the listing correct.
2. They have constant staff turnover so you are constantly talking to someone new. I was given the runaround by Lindsey Davis, David Levy, Tammy Green, Michelle P., Kalia, and many more folks.
3. Excuses, excuses but never, NEVER a single lead to rent? Nor any suggestions for improving my chances.
4. No 3-day 2-night travel certificate as promised, should Interval Realty fail to rent my timeshare.

Nobody even said anything like? Perhaps if you lowered the price you'd get more responses? It's as if they KNEW that I would not get any response regardless of the appearance or price of the listing.

Interval Realty Services promises a three-day, two-night vacation (timeshare sale vacation, no doubt) if they can't rent your timeshare within six months. After six months I called repeatedly to request this? Free vacation? On numerous occasions I was told that I'd be receiving certificates from? Worldwide Travel Center? Of course you know what happened, no certificates ever came.
