In August, I mistakenly fell for the telemarket call to rent our timeshare in Myrtle Beach, SC within 60 days. The 3 day 2 night vacation package we were offered if it did not rent in 60 days was of no meaning. If I paid the $499, I would have ten years of listings and if I did not use the timeshare I could rent it. I was facing a major surgery and had not been able to use the unit in 2007 and thought this would be a way to recoup some of my money.
In January, I called the company to ask about selling the property. To date I have not had further communication from Interval. Today, I checked the phone no. On the internet and found the number on my credit card receipt if for Interval Title Service, title, escrow and closing agent. When I went to the yellow page portion of the internet, Interval Realty Services came up with a link to a web site. I went on the web and checked for a listing of my property. Regardless of the address entered, the same properties came up and had nothing to do with where my property is located. I admit I was not a smart consumer when I fell for this scam and that I have pasted the 30 day refund period.
Do not fall for this telemarketing scam.
