Mayflower, through their sub-contractor Mullen Moving of Pittsfield, MA, professionally inspected and estimated my household goods for move from Brandon, VT to Jonesborough, TN. The estimate was $1475. The final demand adds to $2799. They claim I added to cargo weight, which I did not. My requested remedy is that they be required to honor their estimate plus the allowable 10%. Other aspects of their inadequate service I can live with.
