I had work for this company until I quit. Wiseway wouldnt allow me to go to college or get a 2nd job. First off, their pay rate is outrageous. Starting pay is $5.70 for cashiers, floral, ect.
The highest pay is meat department which is a lousy $9.00.
The safety for employees, doesnt exist. Its bad enough the sprinklers are covered in mass amounts of dust;so bad that if there was a fire;the entire store would burn in flames. Registers are outdated which takes time for customers, and instead of replacing them. The fix them a little until they freeze.
Also forget about medical insurance if you are a cashier or a bagger, they wont cover you. The tell you at the interview they will, but false pretense. Its bad enough our ecomeny stinks. The only way to get promoted is well, you don't. This store discrimates against everything, my friend who is deaf, but can sign was told there was no work here for your disability.
If you need a job, dont bother coming in. Thats my advice to everyone.
Their motto is " Highest Quality for Lower Prices"
But in all honesty; Wiseway pays workers low, putting items for higher prices, and the food is backstock or outdated, and too cheap to actually replace machines and equipment.
