I was stuck in an airport, my flight canceled due to a storm and my cell phone dead. I went to a pay phone that indicated $1.00 for 5 minutes. I opted to pay by credit card and was never given any information that rates would be anything other than what was posted on the phone. To my shock, I was charged $25.00 for each 1-2 minute call. I was even charged $25.00 for each call attempt that only reached a busy signal. Total charges on my credit card totaled $175.00, which consisted of 4 placed call of 1-2 minutes and 3 calls that only reached a busy signal. Legacy Long Distance must be stopped. Please fight back for youself and others. I understand others have had success by filing complaints with the following:
