I recently ordered:
lot (3) gateway solo celeron laptop computers, hard drive removed. 3 w / cdrom, 2 w / floppy, & 3 w / battery. Wrapped for shipment.
From govliquidation.com. They never said anywhere that this was a mixed lot of gateway solo celeron laptops, they just said lot of 3 gateway solo celeron laptops with hard drives removed and had a picture of the newest nicest one. From what I could tell and see by their representation of the lot I determined the approximate value of the items, I even consulted with the item "status code" which stated that the items were economically repairable.
When I recieved the laptops, I saw two old gateway solo 2500 laptops that are of almost no value, and the 1 gateway solo 5300 laptop that was pictured for the lot. Not only did I get 2 laptops of almost no value instead of 3 worth $250- $350 a piece, but the laptops also did not come with any power supplies.
So, now I have 2 almost useless laptops that I can't sell and 1 that I could sell if the monitor wasn't damaged. (Economically repairable my butt!) Overall I got shafted. I'm now out almost $400 for a $310 auction and I still have to buy a new LCD screen, 3 hard drives and a DVD/CD-RW drive so I can maybe get $250 back.
Also, in this auction I was given the wrong number to contact for pick-up and I was charged an extra $15 for packaging for shipment after govliquidation.com said it was wrapped for shipment.
