Move didn't happen and they took my money anyway! Ripoff

I found Team USA Moving online on Sept. 27. We discussed the move for Saturday Sept. 30 2006. Was told by Byron that they needed my credit card number to hold the truck until all contracts and paperwork could be completed We went back and forth on the contract due to it not having correct dates, weights, charges and etc. The contract was never agreed upon since they could not get it correct!

I spoke with Byron numerous times on the 28th due to the contract continuing to be incorrect. I sent an email to him on Sept 28th at 7:34 AM stating that the contract is still not correct and asked him to please call me as soon as possible.

Sent and email to Byron at 10:05 AM on the 28th, thanking him for his help but we will not be needing your moving services after all. Our plans have had to change. Please cancel the scheduled move and either reimburse my credit card or do not charge anything to it. About 30 mins. Later Byron called me, I explained to him that we did not need his companies services. He never said anything about the credit card being billed even though the move was cancelled.

Called them on Oct. 23rd when I had reviewed my bank statement and it had been charged $484.33 for Team USA Movers. I immediately called and left messages for Byron to call me back which he did later and told me there was no way for me to get my money back, that it was a non-refundable deposit. I explained to him that the contract was never agreed upon due to his errors so the charge should be reimbursed. He was very rude and said that they would not be reimbursing me. I asked to speak to his boss and was put in touch with Chad Smith.

When I explained the situation to Mr. Smith he said he would look into it and get back to me in a few hours. I didn't receive a call all day so I called back the next day Oct. 24th and left another message. When I finally spoke with Chad he told me it was assigned to a CSR and they would be calling me before 5 PM today (didn't happen) so I called the next day and spoke with Kim, she told me she would have a meeting with Chad, Byron and Steve Smith (the owner) to see what she can do and get back to me.

Kim called me back and said there was nothing she could do, I immediately told her that I would be filing complaints with the following organizations: FMSCA, Dept. Of Transportation's Office of the Inspector General, AMSA and Better Business Bureau and would be speaking to an attorney. She told me that it was her first week on the job so I also told her that she should look for a job with a company that has ethics!
