I am moving from PA to CA. Automobileship, llc quoted me $895. I signed the contract which now I notice does not have an address or MC number on it. However on the original contract I made a mistake on the dates for car pick up. My household moving company is coming 3/22-29 and I wrote that on the original contract for Automobileship, llc. However when Antwan called we discussed my error, he understood so I sent him a new contract with the earliest pick up date being 3/27. He said he would get back to me when he knew the details of who the driver would be and when exactly they would be coming. On 3/20 I noticed that my debit card was charged $150 for a deposit so I left antwan a message.in this message I asked him to call me about the charges, when i didn't know when they were coming to get my car. Antwan never returned my phone call but I call him 3/21 at 3:00 EST. I asked him what was going on. He said he would rather call me with all the specifics rather than estimates. He said the deposit charge was charged for the original move. I have the efax proof of all these transactions. He at that time thought the earliest time of pickup would be 3/26 so that the drive was assigned. I corrected him buy saying the car cannot be available then as per my updated contract and that if he still didn't know the details about the date, time and driver that it wasn't assigned so that I could get my deposit back. I don't feel comfortable shipping my brand nw care with a company that doesn't return phone calls, makes charges and will keep the money stating the driver was assigned but that the detaisl are not available to me yet. I explained to him that the trust I have with them is based around returns phone calls but he replied he understood but it is not his fault the answering system was down that day. I left it the day before. The driver was assigned according to Antwan for original move but my card was charged then but I was waiting for him to call back with details of the new proposed date, he never did. But when I ask for my deposit back then he says it is indeed assigned. His reply is that it is not his fault that I signed a contract for a non refundable deposit. I said by reading what I signed it says that the deposit IS refundable if a driver has not been assigned. I think he didn't have a drive lined up, then they charged the card, I left him the message about the charges and he claims he didn' get it so that if he couldn't furnish the details of the assigned driver then I could and should get my deposit back. He said that the driver would get there on March 26th and that was assigned so I can't have the deposit back. I informed him again both me and my car are unavailable that day as per my contract says. But he said there is no way to get my $150 deposit back because it was assigned according to his definitions but assigned to me means I know when my car is being pciked up and on the correct day per contract.
Also when I called back to ask the their location to file a complaint they told me they were based out of Hollywood CA. But really it's FL..
