[FONT=Arial BlackThe 1st and only time I use my home protection plan, to service my air conditioning in July/August I wasvery disapointed with this Company. First American assigned a Vendor they work with, Feder's Co. Located in N. Hollywood, whom were complete awful. I was cursed at and hung up on, never a call to let me know of status and after four weeks, still no parts and no service has been performed. I had called on several occasions to First American for help in resolving these issues and to ask for a new Vendor and was told I had no other choice but to use these rude people from Feder's. I was also scolded by a women in customer service that it's my fault for living in California where it's hot. When I asked to speak to a Supervisor, I was placed on hold forever or hung up on. Each call to get a hold of them was a good 20 minutes or more (never less). No one ever called me back, nor did any follow ups were done to complete my problem. But they did send the annual renewal notice. I strongly do not recommend buying the protection plan from first american home buyers protection corp. You can save the $500 and do it yourself without the headache. The claim was filed on 7/26/06 and to date, 8/16/06 still no idea when parts will arrive.
